


I have been a pipeline inspector since 2004 and I have built this web site to enable my CV to be readily available to any future recruiters or employers.
Besides being qualified in Welding, UT, MPI and Coating, I also have a strong computer graphics and multimedia background, which has served me in the construction of this site.
I am British, born 21st of June 1952 and have been living in France since 1978 and therefore fluent in French

November 2010- February 2011 Various inspection duties including : Tie-in welding to PRS at the Olympic Park Stratford. P9 welding Sapiston and at Westfield, White City Ultrasonic and MPI inspection on Gas Holder refurbishment Fulham
June 2010 - October 2010 Multi Disciplined Inspector on the Newhouses to Calfhill, Scotish Borders on the 273mm diameter transmission pipeline for SGN and Land & Marine. WQT monitoring. Mainline welding inspection, Ultrasonic and MPI examination of existing pipe work prior to P9 welding. Compilation and control of as built inspection reports, bar chart, MIMS/MAXIMO and handover documentation.
May 2010 - June 2010 Multi Disciplined Inspector on the Easington to Paull 1220mm diameter transmission pipeline for National Grid and MPL.
August 2008 - July 2009 Multi Disciplined Inspector on the Broxburn to Humbie Farm 450mm diameter transmission pipeline for SGN and Land & Marine. Responsible for the preparation of welding procedures. Control of materials, chemical analysis and compatibility of pipe and fittings. WPQT and WQT monitoring. Mainline welding inspection, Ultrasonic and MPI examination of existing pipe work prior to P9 welding. Compilation and control of as built inspection reports, bar chart, MIMS/MAXIMO and handover documentation for commissioning. Multi Disciplined Inspector at Kirriemuir Compressor Station Emissions Reduction Project for National Grid and Land & Marine. Stainless and carbon steel TIG welding inspection, UT, Dye penetrant testing and MPI.
March - August 2008 Multi Disciplined Inspector on the Barton Stacey to Lockerley 900mm diameter transmission pipeline for National Grid plc. Overseeing pipe delivery, pipe bending, mainline welding (manual), installation of tie-ins, coating, lower/lay, holiday detection and backfill operations. Ultrasonic and Magnetic Particle Inspection on tie-ins and in Barton Stacey AGI
July - October 2007 Multi Disciplined Inspector on the Fishacre – Choakford 600 mm diameter transmission pipeline project as part of the South West Reinforcement project for National Grid plc. Responsible for monitoring erection of temporary fencing, stringing, pipe bending, mainline (automatic) welding, installation of tie-ns, lower/lay, holiday detection and backfill operations
June 2007 Multi Disciplined Inspector on the 29 Km 900mm diameter Hardwick – Marsh Gibbon high pressure pipeline project. Duties included monitoring welders’ qualification tests, mainline (automatic) welding operations, civil excavations, undertaking coating and ultrasonic inspections, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety legislation, on behalf of Scotia Gas Networks plc.
March - June 2007 Multi Disciplined Inspector during construction of the Ottery St. Mary – Aylesbeare and Aylesbeare – Kenn 600mm diameter transmission pipeline projects. Responsible for monitoring all front end (automatic) welding operations on behalf of National Grid plc. During this period also supervised civil excavations, surface preparation and application of anti corrosion coatings including recording surface profile, temperature, relative humidity, dew point and dry film thickness readings, undertaking holiday detection and compiling as-built records.
October 2006 Multi Disciplined Inspector on the Pickeridge Farm Landslip project, Slough, which involved replacement of 600 mm and 900mm diameter transmission pipelines. Carried out review of shipping manifests and material test certificates. Welding, coating, ultrasonic and civil inspection. Prepared as built records, liaised with production and NDT crews to maximise production and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety legislation for National Grid plc.
April - September 2006 Multi Disciplined Inspector during construction of the Illchester – Barrington transmission pipeline project. Responsible for monitoring welders qualification tests, front end (manual) welding operations, installation of tie-ins, application of field joint coating including recording surface profile, temperature, relative humidity, dew point and dry film thickness measurements, witnessing hydrostatic testing and preparation of comprehensive inspection reports on behalf of National Grid.
2005 Welding / Ultrasonic Inspector during fabrication and installation of structural steelwork and pipe work for the Lime Kiln Wharf development project, River Medway. Responsible for monitoring receipt, storage and handling of materials, manual welding of structural steel, fabrication of pipe work, undertaking welding inspection, ultrasonic wall thickness / lamination surveys and preparation of as-built records on behalf of Murray Marine Engineering.
